So I haven't said much lately, cause I've been REALLY busy learning all sorts of things! I can count all the way to 14, I can get to 20 with a little help from Mommy. I know and can identify all the letters of the alphabet, and I LOVE to sing the song! I know most of my shapes and I'm working on my colors. I can say all the President's names, but I can't tell them apart...they all kinda look like a grandpa to me. I know how to swim, with my Tiger muscles on. In fact, I can swim the whole width of Grandma Sarah and Papa's pool! I can also cling to the side of the pool and inch along to find the step to climb out, and I can hold my breath under water. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of me! I can almost dress myself...still working on getting my pants on, but I'm close. I know how to throw a football, and how to throw a baseball (and I know which ball is which) and how to hit a baseball with a bat. I can't catch yet...but we're working on it. One thing I have learned that Mommy and Daddy aren't so thrilled about is that I know how to unlock Daddy's phone and call Mr. Mike...hehehe! I love talking on the phone! I love to help Mommy around the house, cleaning things and putting my toys away when she asks me to. I'm excited about the new baby coming, and I give the baby kisses all the time! Mommy says I'm such a nice big brother, and that makes me very proud of myself. Well, that's all for now, I gotta go color a picture for Mommy. |

The Isle My Daddy's friend Mike was getting married to "Bo-Nique" (Monique) and they asked me to be their ring bearer. All I really knew was that Mom put me into some really nice clothes (that I thought were pretty nice) and I got to walk down the isle. I did a lot of practicing and you could say that I'm pretty much a pro at the whole walking down the isle thing. The big moment came and the two girls that were walking with me were set down. Then I was set down, and the race was on!! I took off around those girls, and started down the isle. Some people started clapping for me, so I stopped to clap with them! Then I looked back and saw that those girls were close on my heels, so I started down the isle again. I ran a little then looked back, those girls were still there! I laughed, and kept going, running down the isle. It was so much fun! Camera's flashing, people clapping, I was a sucess!! I enjoyed my trip down the isle so much that toward the end of the wedding I went down again!! I heard someone say "I now pronounce you man and wife" as I again started down the isle. I stopped half way down, cause the people weren't clapping for me. Then I saw Mommy back at the door and slowly went back. I got back to Mommy just in time for Mike and Monique to run out. The Animals at the Zoo So my Mommy has taken me to the zoo a number of times, but this time I actually realized that there were things behind those bars. This time I saw a BIG TALL giraffe. I was so excited!!! And when I saw the Elephant I told Mommy "the El-fant swinging" because he was swinging his long trunk. I saw the black and white lemurs jumping in the trees, and a funny monkey. I also watched the otters play in the water. The most exciting thing of all was when we went into the StingRay exibit. The zoo-people let me put my hands in and touch the stingrays. Mommy helped me and when I touched one I said "Mommy, fishes in water!! There Fish in water, Mommy!!!" I was so excited to be at the zoo. My Toddler Bed As you know, I'm pretty much a big boy now. So recently my Mommy and Daddy took one side off my crib and put some rails up to make it into a toddler bed. So I can go in and out all by myself! I think it's pretty cool, and I like to climb up and jump on my bed. The only thing I'm not so sure about is sleeping with it like this. The first time I took a nap in it I fell out!! It was so tramatic to wake up on the floor! But Mommy and Daddy realize this, so they put a blanket up for me so that I can't fall out...but I can still climb in and out of my bed. Someday soon I'll be a real big boy, and I won't be scared anymore. New Teeth & Potty Training Since I started walking, I've made several changes. I grew 2 more teeth..and boy did they hurt! I also am starting to be a big boy as I work on potty training. I'm very excited about being a big boy, Mommy and Daddy are excited about it too. In addition to growing teeth and potty training, I have also learned how to dance, and run. I love dancing and running around! Sometimes I love it so much I get laughing so hard that I fall over! I am also becoming more vocal, learning more words every day, and learning phrases like "I'm sorry" and "You silly". Toddlerhood is great, and I love it! My Uncle Zack Recently my Uncle Zack moved in with us. He sleeps in the office. I like having him around to play with. He's also nice to have around because he always has food and he always shares it with me. That's a nice uncle. The only down side to Uncle Zack is that he gives me zerberts, and they're just as wet as my kisses! Only babies should be allowed to give such wet gifts. Walking For a while now people have been talking to me about walking, and giving me words of encouragement. Mom says they finally paid off on September 7th because I took my first steps all by myself at Ronda Clark's house. Now, I walk around the living room from person to person all by myself. Sometimes I'll even look at the TV while I'm walking or talk, or even stop and clap. I'm really quite the tallented little toddler, just ask my Mommy or Daddy, they'll tell ya! The World of Watermelon Recently my momma introduced me to this wonderful fruit called watermelon. I love it so much! The first time momma gave it to me I gobbled it all up, but paused halfway through to say "thank you" cause it was just SO good! The second time I had it, I still couldn't believe how good this stuff was, and halfway through my watermelon I said "I like it Water-yeyen good!" |

First Teeth
All I want for my birthday is my two front teeth. Well atleast that's what I thought. Other babies told me that teeth were better, and made life easier. Most everyone I met had them. Now I'm not sure I like what I've gotten into. My first two teeth poked their way through, all in one day.  No one told me that it would hurt that much. I didn't like it one bit. But I'm glad I did it. Although my mouth feels quite strange. I feel like a stronger baby...like more of a person.  The Speech of a Ten Month Old
Lately I have been making my mom and dad laugh in surprise and delight. I have begun to say phrases such as : "I did it" and "Dadda Up!" but the best one that I have said is one my mom just can not let go. I said "Mom" as I put my hand on her sholder, "I good." She said you are? " Yes. I good. I pooped". The thing that mom thought was absolutely the best was the fact that I had indeed pooped in my diaper and was making her frustrated because I would not drink my bottle until she changed it. I was a good boy. She should be proud. It takes a lot of gumption to poop like that. |

Sonny Sunday Night Special! When my Daddy was growing up, his family had what they called a Sunday Night Special, it wasn't anything real fancy, but it had a cool name. My Mommy's family had a similar thing but they didn't call it a Sunday Night Special. Mommy's family had what they called "Snausages!". It was really fried sausage rounds, but they called them snausages 'cause it was funnier that way. Well my Mommy went out and bought some sausage, like she had when she was little and Daddy talked her into buying hashbrowns, and they made their own Sunday Night Special. The best part? I got to eat it too!!! Yum!!! Snausages! Pray For Me, I Think I'm Gonna Die Up until now, I have been in perfect health. I didn't even get sick when Daddy had pneumonia. But now...I have a cold. It's horrible! I have a really bad cough, and my nose keeps running (so Mom gets me with a tissue). I have had a fever off and on. Mom said I got up to 103! My throat hurts too, and so I haven't been drinking much. Mom and Dad aren't happy about that. Mom gives me medicine every now and then. I don't like the medicine, but it makes me feel better. I sure hope this cold goes away soon. Pray for me. Super Bowl Sunday! For the Super Bowl we went to a party at the Brey's house. Everyone was there! Mommy told me to root for the Bears...I like the bears cause I can growl like bear. The Bears lost. That was sad. But I cheered everyone up by telling them my own stories. |

The Dada Game So this month I said Dada for the first time. I didn't really think of it as anything special, but my Dada sure did! Now, whenever he's around he says "DADA!" in a really gruff voice and I do it back "DADA!" and raise my hands excitedly. We go back and forth, back and forth. That's the Dada game. My New Buddies Recently our church hired a new Pastor. He's a very nice man. What I like most about him is that he brought TWO BOYS with him. The oldest one is Caleb. He's a big boy...he's already 4 years old! Then there's Kyle, he's 2 years old. I just love to play with Caleb and Kyle! We have so much fun together. |

Baby Alert!! Hello babies! I have some very good news for you. There is something that your mommy has that is much better than breastmilk or formula. It's called juice, and they don't normally put it in a bottle, so it's hard to get. So here's what ya gotta do. Ya gotta either learn how to drink out of a sippy cup, and therefore wait until your mommy introduces you to one OR you can just not poop for a day or two. Let yourself get good and constipated and they will bring out the juice! Sometimes they will even put it in a bottle for you. It's great! I'm Seven Months Old! So I'm now seven months old. I've been around long enough to know my stuff now. I know how to sit very well. I enjoy yelling at my toys and other babies, singing, laughing, and I have learned a very valuable word: Momma. I love my Momma. Recemtly I have noticed that she doesn't like to hold me or entertain me all the time and that bothers me. I really don't understand why she has to do housework, the place looks good to me! Anyway, that's me in a nutshell. |

Thanksgiving Day Events On Thanksgiving I got to watch what Momma calls a parade, but no commercials. Then we had our picture taken for our Christmas cards, I was a very good boy for that! Then we went to Grandma Sarah's and Grandpa David's house. I got to eat Turkey rice, Sweet potatoes and corn, and Dutch Apple dessert! I also got to sit at the head of the table while they were eating. For a picture of our Thanksgiving go to my Pictures page. The Best Toy Ever! So my parents got a walker for me and it is the best toy I have ever played with. It has a big bird and a cookie monster toy, and it has an elmo that spins in the middle, and there's a mirror with a baby in it that looks just like me. It lights up and makes music and it has buttons that I hit and it says "Yay!" My First Babysitter Well, my Daddy didn't want to take me and Momma just couldn't stay. Uncle Collin didn't want me and my aunt wasn't feeling good anyway. So momma called some people and Teressa said ok, so I spent the evening with her, cause she needed someone to play. |

The Crazy Week On Saturday, October 21 momma and I flew to Kentucky to see her family. She said that my great-nana had died, and we went to comfort people. Then we came back home a few days later. After that my Gran and Granddad came on a plane to visit me for about a week. They even stayed in my room! I took them all sorts of places like the Grand Canyon (cause they'd never been, can you believe that? Even I've been there!) and then to the Zoo. I was quite the tour guide. They were very impressed. On the day they went back home momma took me trick-or-treating to a few people's houses. I really liked looking at those colorful bags of candy. They make the best rattles! |

Hey Mikey, He Likes It! So I tried cereal and it's not too bad. I'm really getting the hang of it now, sometimes I'll eat a whole bowl without getting messy. The other day I tried banana for the first time, and boy was that yummy! This food stuff is pretty good. Older and Wiser? I am now four months old. I have more than doubled my birth weight, which puts me at 12 lbs. 12 oz and I'm now 26 inches long. The Doctors have given the go ahead to my mom to start me on cereal. That sounds good to me! |

Going Camping For Labor Day, we went to the hill country to go camping with several families from our church. Momma was anxious about how I would do in sleeping ALL THE WAY through the night, but I was good and slept the whole night! I just loved camping. It was so much fun being outdoors all the time! There was always something to look at. It was great! I had my first laugh while we were camping. Momma and Daddy were so excited. Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'! These days I'm enamored with the task of rolling over. I can very easily roll from my back to my side, and back to my back. For some reason my momma keeps trying to get me to flip from my belly to my back but my arms aren't yet strong enough. Daddy and I have fun times together. He tells me about his day, and then I tell him about my day. He plays with me and sometimes gives me a bottle or a bath. I love my daddy...especially when he shaves. I don't like his scruffy face. I'm getting pretty big, and momma is getting sad because I'm growing out of some of her favorite clothes (that I wear). But hey, it's gotta be done someday! |
